Extended Coast to Coast Day to Day Itinerary
Welcome to Costa Rica! The country with the highest level of biodiversity and so also the country with the best nature vacations. Your extended coast to coast trip will introduce you to the flora and fauna Costa Rica is famous for as well as its immense variety. You can spot wildlife in a stunning tropical forest, go horseback riding along the shores of Guanacaste or the Nicoya Peninsula, look for adventure in La Fortuna or even visit a world-renowned coffee plantation in the Central Valley. Let us introduce you to some of the options available for your Costa Rica Nature Vacation Package! Pura Vida!
Once you have arrived in San Jose Costa Rica, you will be met by our representative and be given a welcome package. They will guide you to the shuttle to have a great first night stay within San Jose. Relax and rest. Tomorrow will be a big day!
Day two will take you up to Tortuguero where you will stay at a comfortable and relaxing retreat. Let the adventure begin!
Once you have gotten settled into your hotel, we will take you on a Tortuguero Canals Tour. Relax on the boat ride and view all the scenery around you. The area is covered in rainforest where you can spot sea turtles, crocodiles, caimans, monkeys and birds.
Now take your shuttle ride to the Arenal Volcano. The Arenal Volcano National Park spans across almost 30,000 acres of rainforest and is a great place to see the volcano up close from various trails. Choose from several hiking trails that leave from the entrance of the park, some only taking 30 minutes, some taking a couple of hours. Solo hikes on the trails are permitted but you can also easily arrange guided hikes in La Fortuna. Additionally, you can relax in the natural hot springs, rappel down waterfalls of simply swim in them, explore the hanging bridges, go white-water rafting on the river, … Or like tomorrow, take a stunning canopy tour.
Today is a very exciting day! We will take a Sky Trek and Sky Tram tour. Each tour will give you a great view of the tropical rainforest below. Check out the Ziplines as you fly through the forest and experience a great thrill. The sky tram is a little slower than a zipline, which makes it perfect for those who want to spot wildlife and take in the beauty of the forest.
Time to head from Arenal to the fabled Monteverde! Day 6 starts off with The El Trapiche tour through a coffee farm. Tasting the Costa Rican blends is a great way to start the day!
The next day in Monteverde Includes the tour of Santa Elena Nature Reserve. The best part of Monteverde are the foggy, mysterious cloud forests. Thanks to the humid climate, you won’t see so much beautiful nature anywhere else. Hike with a guide for the best chance to spot wildlife and discover the magical cloud forest up close. You can learn all about the natural surroundings and rainforest plants. You can take guided tours as well as solo walks through the forest!
Day 8 – 10
Time to go up to Tamarindo for a couple of nights. Tamarindo, or TamaGringo to locals, is the most visited beach town in the whole of Costa Rica. Stay at a beautiful resort and enjoy your visit to this incredible destination. Take your very first surfing lesson or just relax and enjoy the unrivaled sunsets.
Day 11 – 13
Today you will shuttle transfer to Manuel Antonio! The Beaches of this area are probably the best of all Costa Rica with such a variety you won’t ever want to leave.
